Hope everyone had a fun first october weekend, and a not so bad monday. We spent this weekend hanging out with friends, finding new places to eat (we are going vegetarian for a month, its almost over, just two more weeks to go), its quite surprising to see how many good vegetarian places are out there which we didn't bother to notice before. We had an awesome dinner at an asian restaurant, everything we ordered was so delicious, i see future dinners there pretty soon! For locals, its the teapot vegetarian house. Speaking of restaurants, have you read my review of Araya's Place (vegan thai restaurant) yet? Okay, enough chit chat, lets start dissecting(this word is totally not influenced by a thriller movie i watched this weekend) today's outfit.
Ombre Knit Top - Cutter & Buck (similar) // Printed Pencil Skirt - Kappa, Bangalore (similar) // Denim Jacket - Old navy // Sunglass - Fastrack (similar) // Shoes - H&M // Flower Necklace - from India (similar) // Hoop earrings - Gifted (similar) // TH Watch - Gifted (similar)
I like to experiment with mixing styles now and then, just a few styles in which i feel comfortable in. Prints are forever, and ombre just looks good in any form, just check out Pinterest for ombre and you will know what i mean. So i thought of mixing these two ubiquitous styles for my outfit today, and i chose the printed pencil skirt which i have styled in a different outfit before and my new ombre top. I decided to go for simple neutral shade shoes, to keep the focus on the ombre and print. To find comfort when the weather goes cold, i added a denim jacket. For me this season is all about mix and matching the separates to find new outfits.
How do you mix styles in your outfit? Are you into mix and match this season? xo, Hems
P.S My ombre top is so in sync with Giambattista Valli's Couture Fall '14 gown, happy squeal!
